Day 5-15-08
My beautiful sexy dress parade arrived today-special delivery! Although it was a very short wait I had to fight the urge to stalk the mail carrier. How could I not excited about the perfect evening dress?! Let me back track a bit. I am a curvy pageant queen. After several years of the royal spotlight, I compete again. Of course I want my big comeback in new clothes! Money is tight, but where a will is a way. I'm not ashamed to admit that I did a study for cheap dresses NextEve.com I came. Expect a choice of 2 or 3 to find selections for medium plus dowdy women (just like the other sites I visited) I was not ready for what I found! It was the formal gowns heaven. Any gown that my heart desired would fit my large beautiful curves! NO limits on the size of availability. The styles of dresses were diverse, elegant ball gowns, sexy sheaths, cute and flirty cocktail dresses. While I was looking for a parade dress, I had to browse every inch of the site! Suddenly, it looked back at me-my dream dress 14K gold. I am sooooo ready for the evening gown competition of the election.
Day 5-28-08
One month from today will I strut my stuff in my beautiful gown. It is amazing how a great dress a woman can change. Not only looks. You feel like you're queen of the world! It changes your walk to almost a floating slip. Your attitude is right and great. How wonderful it is to be as beautiful as you look!
Although I am a curvy girl, I chose a sheath style dress. A sheath dress is completely form fitting. Most of the gowns you see on celebrities at shows prices of the sheath draft-ja, second skin. My dress is not skin tight, but it is worthy Gracing the red carpet. This species has a sexy look to the French lingerie. Gorgeous gold satin has a warm side overlay at the waist with boning that looks like a corset. The bust line is stroked in black pleated tulle netting. The skirt has an overlay of black tulle for even for a soft romantic touch. I am so impressed with this evening dress! It is like getting an engagement ring, you can not stop watching it ... then you look again to ensure that the still! Now I pick a hairstyle to compliment the murderer.
Day 6-20-08
I'm in the final countdown with one weeks to go! It is so stressful, but exciting all at once. There is so much that goes into preparing an election. The right hair, make-up, getting your nails (hands and toes) made shoes, appropriate clothing and the perfect evening dress. Do not have to worry about the dress at all. I decised a stylish French role for my hair. Since my face is round, I will the typical "procession poof 'bangs combed over to the side with sexy tendrils of curls at the tips. I am also placing a bundle of curls and whisps at the top of the hat for a more contemporary and sexy appearance. This will be a perfect accent to the sexy French flair of the dress! I've been walking around the house in my heels so I clearly will not be shaky on stage. Getting in The "float on air" mode is not easy after the show ring for about 7 years! Concentrating on the last minute details will not have much time to write. We will overtaking when I get home. I'll make up for when you all about the awesome dresses I know I will see Nationals. Well, Myrtle Beach, here I come!
Day 7-3-08
Let me tell you, there's no place like home! While Myrtle Beach is beautiful beyond words, it's good to be back! Pageant time is jam-packed full of rehearsals, photo's and high heels .... it hurts to be beautiful! Speaking of pretty, I was blown away by the variety of the dresses of my sisters chose the election gown competition! The younger girls rocked the ball gowns this year! A "Pre-Teen Miss" so beautiful, she look like one of Cinderella's ugly stepsisters! Her ballgown was sweetest shade of bubblegum pink I've ever seen. The top was tied corseted spaghetti and kissed with aurora borealis rhinestones. The lace-up back is fully functional with a shiny satin ribbon running through it. The fancy dress had layer upon layer of flowing tulle netting with shiny rhinestones strewn randomly. Her delicate little frame was not lost in this abundant dress. She slid across the stage with the grace and elegance of a veteran election queen. She owns the stage and completely wowed the judges. Her dress was an accessory to the natural inner that beauty was radiant in her! A "Jr. Miss" participant wore a white strapless ballgown that was sprinkled pebbles on the bust line. The skirt was full with a rich train sweeping behind her. The most awesome feature of her dress was that the skirt was completely covered with white roses made of tulle netting all the way to the end of the train. The centers were soft pink netting with rhinestone accents. With her curly blonde hair gently swept over her head, she looked like a young angel in an enchanted garden. She was definitely a sight!
Day 8-10-08
We older participants were just as glam. We have no age-we as a soft fine wine! One of the "Mrs. Woman" participants appears her beautiful figure prima donna in a sheath dress made of champagne satin with a sexy black lace overlay. Her dress was covered with crystals that sparkled with every movement. The Lacey edged split in the middle of the plinth exposed a flash of her legs when she took her beauty walk. A small Regal train swept behind her. What a sultry vision of elegance! Less is more for a "Woman" participant. Her dress was a strapless satin with an empire waist in rich navy blue. There was a beautiful rhinestone brooch just below the bust that the smooth satin of her dress gave the sparkling touch of class! She made quite a statement without saying a word. In "Ms. Classic" division, I wore my 14k gold dress and got many "oooooo's" and "watching you" from my sisters election. Nobody had a dress like mine even the same color and I could not have been satisfied. I thrive on each other in a crowd! A diva in my division took in 2 parades that weekend. She was breathtaking in both games. For a parade she wore a black halter with a ruffled tiered skirt and sash-magenta beautiful! A sassy haltered in fuchsia satin mermaid style gown of her choice for the parade we fought together. It is difficult to put into words the glamor that she possessed! Oh, she won the crown and I am her first runner up. A person blinded by the brilliance of the crown would say that I lost. I say I've won something invaluable. A lifelong friendship is created between the new queen and me. Long after our reign is over and the crowns on the shelf, our friendship will continue.
